Q: Why is the range of bras so limited?
A: Because we are a new company, our budget allowed for 4 sizes in 5 styles. In time, we hope to accommodate a wider range of sizes.
Q: Why is the cost higher for some of your mastectomy bras than others on the market?
A: Our bras and panties are not massed produced. Quality is important to us. We also include many “extras”--- 2 sets of straps for the Cami and Everyday bras, allowing you to wear a more versatile wardrobe. The Strapless also includes transparent straps. The Front Closure mastectomy bra ALSO has back hooks. Rhinestone connectors, add more steps in the sewing process. The Sport has a back closure too. We’ve added A FREE pair of matching panties for the purchase of each mastectomy bra—a bonus!
Q: Do both sides of each bra have pockets?
A: Yes.
Q: Is it important that the elastic is laytex -free?
A: Many women have allergic reaction reactions to laytex. We want you to be comfortable and rash free.
Q: Will insurance pay for my mastectomy bra?
A: Your health insurance provider may cover in full or partially for the cost of the mastectomy bras. Please check with your health insucance company for instructions and forms.
Kimberly Ashmand will provide you with an invoice stating the date of purchase and the item(s) your purchased including their cost (will be shipped along with your order).You can then file a reimbursement claim with your insurance company. Please make sure that you are aware how much your insurance company will reimburse you. Kimberly Ashmand will not be responsible for items not covered by your health insurance.
Q: What makes your bras different from others?
A: They were designed by me, a woman living with a mastectomy. I know what we want, how they should fit and the way we want to feel wearing them. This company is more than a job to me. It is a passion to make women feel feminine again. I am involved in the Relays, Walks, Fundraisers,etc., to help fight breast cancer. I started this company for my 2 girls, to make a difference.
Q: Is it safe to submit my personal and credit card information to your website?
A: You can tell a website is secure if an "s" (for secure) follows the "http" in the address name. If you click on "My Account" on the side bar, you will be taken to our secure server, where you will add the items to your shopping cart. Notice that once you are in that part of our website, an "s" follows the "http."
